Jhane Barnes and Lumicor - A Winning Combination
SEATTLE - (January 18, 2007) - Lumicor®, the leading manufacturer of innovative resin design products, has announced that it won a GOOD DESIGN™ Award from the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design - for its Jhane Barnes Collection™ for Lumicor. The series of translucent resin panels encapsulates unique textiles that are created specifically for Lumicor by Jhane. The GOOD DESIGN award has been around for more than half a century and remains the oldest and most important industrial and graphic design awards program worldwide. When asked about the award, Jhane said: "Drawing on my experience designing for fashion and interiors, I am thrilled to use my innovative push-pull woven technique to create these unique panels for Lumicor. I am also flattered and excited to have my work with Lumicor recognized through a prestigious Good Design Award."
