Jhane on Top of the World
Well, at Least on Top of the Table!
![]() At Jofco, designer Jhane Barnes kicks up her feet after a job well done. Her
new Tahke casegoods range - which
includes a conference table (foreground) and a desk system (at back) - is constructed of sustainable bamboo plywood
and integrates compact flourescent lighting, among other eco-friendly features. "We've tried to make it green in every
aspect, from the materials and finishes to lighting and accessories," Barnes says." Neocon is the largest trade show in the world, housed in the largest office building in the world. Held annually at Merchandise Mart in Chicago, it hosts more than 50,000 design professionals in over more than 1200 showrooms and exhibition spaces. It was exciting for me to introduce four new products this year! I had new carpet introduced for Tandus, new fabric on chairs for Neutral Posture, new product designed for Lumicor, and (shown at left) new green furniture for Jofco. It was also fun to be featured on the cover (that's the photo) of the magazine produced daily for the show by Interior Design. I do indeed feel "on top of the world!" 6/2007 |
