This video shows two screen printers at Jhane's factory printing her
"Meander" design on fabric, using a centuries-old printing process. The slanted
table is heated to help make the ink flow properly, so it's a hot job.
As they move the screen and print, they are adding just one color to the
design. As Jhane likes complex designs, often using a dozen colors, the
steps you see here have to be executed repeatedly to create the finished
fabric. It's labor intensive, but the results are beautiful and complex,
with deep, rich colors.
